We are never told how Adam dies, and instead of focusing on his death, the author places the emphasis on moving forward, healing the heart and living! Connecting with those left behind and finding love again when you least expect it.
Very nicely 4 Hopeful Stars! View all 14 comments. This was a very touching and kxtie story about dealing with losing someone you love, and then finding love again. It’s been about a year and a half since Anna’s boyfriend, Adam, died. Anna seems to have moved out of her depression but not out of alo survivor kate. Every time she goes to have fun she thinks maybe she shouldn’t, what would other people think? This summer is different though, because her mother insists she gets a job to pay her expenses.

Getting a job actually helps Anna to start to move on with her life, she becomes involved with the day-to-day and can’t spend large amounts of time missing or thinking about Adam. She gradually begins a friendship with Camp but is very hesitant because her feelings, against her will, start to change into something more than just friendship. Being a novella approximately 27, words didn’t take away from this story at all. Katie did a great job making you feel and care about Anna and Camp.
Even the secondary characters with the little time they had were well done loved Lisa! This was a thoroughly enjoyable book that drew you in right away. I’ll be on the lookout for the next Katie Aleo story! May 02, Anna D. The emotions are all understandable.

After Adam (A Teen Summer Romance)
It had potential to be a really good book. The relationship was kind of surface deep, probably because of the length, and I liked Anna and Camp and wouldn’t have minded reading a little more about them. One thing that bugged me was I kept wondering what happened to Adam. I mean, I guess it really doesn’t matter in the long run, but I think it would have helped me connect a little more to Anna and Adam – like if his death wa This was a very heartwarming book, but it was a little too short for me.
I mean, I guess it really doesn’t matter in the long run, but I think it would have helped me connect a little more to Anna and Adam – like if his death was a result of a sudden accident or if it was an illness that took time so that’s why it took her so long to grieve.
A loss is hard no matter what, but as with the rest of the book, it gives us more than just skimming the surface on the characters’ feelings. The story was nice. A little too quick for my liking, but I really got invested in the story and wanted to know what was going to happen with Anna and Camp. They made a cute couple and I could really tell that Camp was into Anna long before Anna realized she was into him, too.
It was quite well-written and it didn’t feel as short, it aftre felt longer The author aadm a good job creating the atmosphere for us. It was a bit weird in the beginning, as there were some punctuation problems sometim The story was nice. It was a bit weird in the beginning, as there were some punctuation problems sometimes by the time I got to the end of the sentence I had forgotten the beginning lolbut, generally, Anna’s voice was quite casual and how I would imagine a year-old to be.
It’s worth a read if you like cute romantic stories. Oct 14, Becca rated it it was ok. Thankfully I only spent. I am really disappointed. I’ve always at least liked the ebooks I’ve bought but this one just wasn’t that great. Let’s start with the story line. Girl starts working at diner with dead boyfriend’s brother. And I’m sure you can imagine the rest. I’m okay with this story line, however, when you have a storyline that is not original you jatie to make the story special and charming, this was not.
And I have to m Wow And I have to mention the grammar, punctuation and spelling were horrible. Probably the worst I have read in a book. Who doesn’t know the difference between your and you’re? All in all I wouldn’t recommend this book, especially if you’re paying for it. Mar 15, Joana rated it it was ok Shelves: Meh, I’m too old for this. Jan 06, Dani Morales rated it it was amazing. So death is something that we face all the time right, I mean it’s part of life, afam some don’t realize how much of an impact it can have on the people surrounding the person that’s not related to them.
Anna was Adam’s girlfriend, a serious girlfriend and it hit her hard when he passed away. It’s been a year and she’s just now coming out of the need to feel locked away. Granted her mother had a big role in shoving her out there, it worked out. Camp is Adam’s other brother who has also been MIA si So death is something that we face all the time right, I mean it’s part of life, but some don’t realize how much of an impact it can have on the people surrounding the person that’s not related to them.
Camp is Adam’s other brother who has also been MIA since his death. Back home for the summer and working at the same restaurant as Anna life is becoming bearable again.
They have an attraction toward each other and are both trying to fight it until one night Camp gets drunk at a party. Anna’s friend Hannah is against ale getting together. Becky and old best friend that dropped off when Anna was mourning told her she thought it was a good idea.
Finally they stop fighting it and give in. I was aafter when they finally did because even though she was Adam’s girlfriend, who better to take his place but his brother? Katie Aleo writes about things that mean something. So what if they got together? So what he’s Adam’s brother and she was his girlfriend? The point is they are there for each other and aren’t forgetting him, their just moving on.
I only wish it was longer. Oh, did I mention the run-on sentences! This is a short book, a novella, but it took mr longer to read than full length novels because of the issues I mentioned above, mostly the run-on sentences can you tell what my number 1 dislike was?
I suggest aktie don’t buy this book, sure download it for free if you can but don’t pay, it’s not worth it. Such a shame, the story idea was really interesting. Oct 08, Shannon aka The Tale Temptress added it. After Adam was a book I found while trolling through the Barnes and Noble online shelves. It appears to be a self-published book, and it is living proof that self-published authors can be really awesome writers and that their books can really sparkle.
I absolutely loved this book. The story was simple, and when I say that, don’t think I mean lacking in plot, originality or lacking aoeo any way.
