No, not fighting space monsters every day; oh crap, his dad is dating again! Just goes to show you how their real lives–their lives as KIDS–are just as important as their lives as secret warriors. Notable moments animorphx inconsistencies: This book is ghostwritten by Jeffrey Zuehlke. Marco explains in his opening ramble that Animodphs are from another galaxy, which contradicts what’s been said before but falls in line with a joke he makes in a later book.

Question animoephs, does he just think Yeerks are from another galaxy, or are they supposed to be and it was part of the continuity that changed, or were they not supposed to be and the ghostwriters were messing up that detail? Most likely option is the last. It seems odd that Ax continues to use the wrong terms for everyday objects, like “artificial skins” for clothes and “artificial hooves” for shoes, but then also DOES sometimes use the right words.

It seems more designed to make his alien-ness funny than it seems realistic. It is said specifically in this book that Andalites have seven fingers. Before that, other books referred to them as having more fingers than humans, but unless the covers were consulted, it was unclear how many fingers they had.

This book is specific. This book contains the phrase “free reign,” which is a common mistake. The correct phrase is “free rein.

Their description in the book helps date the events. In this book, Ax is human but uses thought-speak, which was implied to not be possible before. In previous books, Ax should be able to use thought-speak while in a human morph, as thought-speak isn’t something that gets removed just because a creature has the ability to speak, but other books have suggested he has to use his mouth if he’s human.

The animorrphs it works in this book seems more logical. Xmas present for my son, who is loving this series! It was exciting and funny. You just couldn’t stop reading it. Once we read the first chapter we had to read more. One person found this helpful. My granddaughter requested several Animorph books–this one among them. She loves the series. Marco seems his usual funny self.

I liked the bit of that and family life before we got into the usual exposition recap. I wondered how the intro fluff would tie into a main plot.

Ah, something suspicious on TV. Peter moving on when Eva’s not really dead seems like animoephs another example of how it may have been easier to tell their parents earlier.

I figure the morphing problem is aimorphs stress side effect. That reminds me of Rachel’s problem in 12 Reaction, including not coming clean about it. I wonder how that’s going to blow up in his face. It did slow him down, I’m glad it wasn’t ignored, but I wonder why the analogy to 12 wasn’t made.

Half hour bike time between Marco and Cassie implies 3 miles or so. The annoying dog was good for comic relief all along. A lot of silly things went on as they were trying to bust Tennant, LOL.

It was interesting how his Yeerk seemed whacked even for Yeerks. This book did seem especially amusing while playing a drinking game with it. A Kid’s Review 5.

Imagine that your animirphs died and your dad is getting married again? Well, in the book The Proposal by K. Applegate, Marco is suffering from deciding if his dad should get married or not. But there’s one problem, his mom isn’t really dead. Marco is in a team of five named the “Animorphs”, and they can change into any animal animorhs touch.

One time when Marco was morphing and thinking about his dad he morphed into a mutant animal, half hawk, half lobster. He’s morphing wierdly because he doesn’t want his dad to get married but doesn’t want his dad to feel bad, so he’s torn between two feelings and he’s torn between two animorpgs. On the other side of things there is the “Yerks,” aliens that are taking over the world and the “Animorphs” have to stop them.

The “Yerks” are like slugs that get into your head and take control over your body. They aren’t that easy to find. Marco figures out that a guy named “Tennet” is a “Yerk.

Will Marco get over his feelings? Will Tennet be defeated? Will Marco alloow his dad to get married?

Read the book and find out. I don’t agree that Applegate should be criticised for making Marco more serious here. Consider the situation if you can’t remember read the recap animoephs the first chapter of each book! Hence the loss of humour. Plus the point, in terms of character development, of the Marco books is to show us that there’s more than just his facade of jocularity. To be a ’rounded’ character, he needs to be able to animorohs himself, to be dark, to have flaws.
