Gorgeous book open to individual interpretation A wonderful book which relies on pictures and just one word ‘hug’ to tell the story – the reader can fill in the rest and make it different every time. What is unique about this book, is that there are only three words used in the whole story – ‘hug’ being the main one, ‘Mummy’ and ‘Bobo’.

It is a good book to help early readers and promoting understanding of the alborougy of the letters to form the three words. This book is about alborougy baby monkey running around the jungle trying to find someone to give him a hug.

Toddlers love it I bought this book after reading many good reviews for it, however I still had my doubts how any book with just 1 word could be that good.

But I think that kindergarten is a good last age to read it, because it introduces basic communication skills and very beginner level reading to kids.

A simple story, told with tenderness and sincerity.

I don’t know what it is about this book since the only words written in it are “Hug”, “Bobo” and “Mama” but my very verbal and very avid 22 month old reader love this book. We read it at hkg a dozen times at each sitting. While the rest of the animals are flat characters they are still critical for the story line because they help him. Looking for beautiful books? It is an exquisite, charming and delightful little book and would heartily recommend. The illustrations are adorable as well.

– Hug – Readers Say

This Hug book really blew though. C Gruver I don’t know what it is about this book since the only words written in it are “Hug”, “Bobo” and “Mama” but my very verbal and very avid 22 month old reader love this book. They keep the reader engaged and compliment the story very well as well as the repetitive nature of the book. I have to confess, I get a hug whenever anyone gets a hug: Heartbreaking and heartwarming and overall really cute!

But it would make a great baby shower gift.

As he sets about the forest in search of hugs, Bobo, the lonely chimp, is obliged by all of the animals as they give hugs and snuggle with him from time to time, yet it never seems to be enough and so no one knows what to do to make him satisfied.

It got them to really calm down and just hug alborouhh. I was overwhelmed by the response to Hug – a selection of the 58 five star reviews on Amazon reviews follows.

When my husband and I first “read” this book it brought tears to our eyes. Thank God somebody hugged that monkey, I was starting to get worried.

Sure to be a classic. I found this to be a boring and uneventful book My son, who loves books, squirms away when I try to read this book to him. I highly recommend it. We all need love.
